CASTING AND HIRING INFORMATION
The Acadia Rep is now accepting applications for it's 2008 SUMMER SEASON. Please send all inquiries to: Cheryl Willis & Andrew Mayer, Artistic Directors 707 West Lake Street Minneapolis MN 55408 cwillisc@yahoo.com Maine is pretty far away from anywhere, and it is not always convenient to hold auditions up here at the theatre. Yet we do interview prospective employees on an individual basis. If you are ever up in this neck of the woods, please contact us to set up an appointment. For Maine auditions, please contact: Ken Stack, Executive Director at the Theatre's Email: arep@acadia.net From year to year, we have many returning company members. So some years we are looking for only a few people. Below is a listing of those positions that might be open for our 2007 SEASON.
PERFORMERS 1--4 Male & Female Actors $275.00 per week INTERNS
Interns are hired for the entire season, and perform a mixture of technical and performance duties. An Intern will work in either the Scene or Costume Shop, have Running Crew duties for the performances and also perform in our CHILDREN'S THEATRE PROGRAM show, which is performed twice a week during the season. There is also some casting in several of our SUBSCRIPTION SERIES shows. The INTERN positions are geared towards college level students who wish to further their training. INTERNS are paid a weekly stipend of $125.00.
6 Male & Female Interns TECHNICAL STAFF BOX OFFICE SUPERVISOR--$225.00 per week STAGE MANAGER--$300.00 per week
HOUSING
Housing is provided. We rent two company houses each year for our employees, located in the town of Bar Harbor, 8 miles from the theatre. Each of the two facilities is completely furnished and within walking distance to shops, restaurants and other amenities. (We do ask that Company Members bring their own sheets, blankets and towels.) Personal transportation is not required, but is a plus. This is a pretty rural area, and there is little public transport. The Island Explorer Bus Service runs regularly throughout the Island, but not late at night after performances.
